Dear Colleagues:

 The University of Western Ontario has recently created a Tort Law Research Group (TLRG) to facilitate greater collaboration among legal and other scholars in the field of tort law, provide a forum to share ideas both formally and informally, and stimulate innovative research (for more info, see http://communications.uwo.ca/com/western_news/stories/western_creates_tort_law_research_group_20100930446869/).

 As part of its mission, the TLRG is launching a speaker series to draw leading tort law scholars to Western.  The inaugural lecture will be given by Professor Arthur Ripstein of the University of Toronto on November 3, 2010. 

 At least initially, funding issues will make it difficult to extend invitations to colleagues abroad.  However, ODG members who are planning a trip to Canada are warmly encouraged to contact us should they be interested in giving a talk as part of the speaker series.
